Gearing Up for a Crossfuze Interview

Congratulations! You are preparing for an upcoming interview with the Crossfuze team. Here you will find several tips and tricks to maximize your interview success, whether you are in the first screening stages, or have been selected for a manager interview, this will help you to showcase your talents and set you up for success.

  1. Do your research.

One way to stand out during an interview is to learn about the company that you are interviewing for. Spend at least an hour looking through the website and company's social media sites. You will want to take notes on the company’s mission, goals, and values. Having this basic understanding will show that you care about the position you are interviewing for and help you decide if you want to be a part of the team.

  1. Read the job description.

Understanding the position you are interviewing for is vital. Focus on the responsibilities and how your experience relates to them. This will allow you to take a focused approach on why you would be a beneficial and successful addition to the team.

  1. Practice your answers.

This is where steps 1 and 2 can come in handy! Most interviewers will ask a few standard questions regardless of the position, it is beneficial to already know what you would like to say. For example, if the interviewer asks you what made you apply to Crossfuze, you will have insider information showing that you have done your research on the company and position.

  1. Use the STAR method.

The STAR method is a standardized way to prepare for more position specific interview question responses. It is a way to showcase your talents and abilities.

S: Situation. Give a brief description of the scenario so that your interviewer will better understand the rest of your answer.

T: Task. Talk about your specific role in the situation, try to avoid what others were doing. This is when it is best to focus on yourself.

A: Action. Tell the interviewer what you did and why.

R: Result. Talk about what the end result was and what you learned in the process.

  1. Ask meaningful questions.

Asking questions about the role and company will make you stand out during the interview process. It shows your interviewer that you care enough about the role to have done your research. It will also show that you are passionate about the position you are interviewing for. Having a few questions prepared in advance will eliminate the need for you to think of something on the spot.
